Biography
Chris Stewart represented Utah's 2nd Congressional District for over a decade, becoming one of the most consequential members of his generation on matters of national security, intelligence, and defense. His tenure on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence — one of the most restricted and influential assignments in Congress — gave him access to classified programs and relationships that define the national security landscape in Washington.
On the House Appropriations Committee, Chris served on the Defense, State and Foreign Operations, and Interior subcommittees — overseeing the funding decisions that shape U.S. military capability, diplomatic engagement, and federal land policy. He also served on the Budget Committee, the Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, and the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, bringing his intelligence background to bear on the defining geopolitical challenge of the era.
Before his congressional career, Chris served fourteen years as an officer and pilot in the United States Air Force, graduating as the Distinguished Graduate — top of his class — from both Officer Training School and Undergraduate Pilot Training. He flew rescue helicopters and the B-1B Lancer strategic bomber, setting three world speed records in the process, including the world record for the fastest non-stop flight around the world.
A prolific author, Chris has written multiple New York Times bestselling novels and national award-winning works. He has appeared hundreds of times on national television and is widely recognized as one of Washington's leading authorities on intelligence and national security affairs. He holds a degree in economics from Utah State University and previously founded and led a nationally recognized consulting firm in the energy and environmental sector.

Personal
Chris and his wife Evie are the parents of six children. He remains deeply connected to Utah — the state he represented in Congress and the community that shaped his values of service, integrity, and commitment to something larger than oneself.
Those values are reflected in every dimension of his career: the discipline of a military officer, the accountability of an elected representative, and the perspective of a man who has stood at the intersection of history and consequence more than most people ever will.
